The final round of the 2026 FIM X-Trial World Championship delivered a fitting conclusion to the indoor season, as Toni Bou secured victory in Tarragona to cap off yet another dominant campaign.

Held inside the iconic Tarraco Arena, Round 9 brought together the world’s best indoor trials riders for one last battle, with key positions in the overall standings still to be decided behind the already crowned champion.

Bou Finishes on Top Once Again

Already confirmed as 2026 World Champion heading into the event, Toni Bou showed no signs of slowing down, delivering another controlled and clinical performance to take the win in front of a home crowd.

The victory marks another chapter in Bou’s incredible legacy, as he continues to set the benchmark in indoor trials competition.

Marcelli Secures Runner-Up Spot

Gabriel Marcelli produced a strong ride to finish second on the night, securing his position as runner-up in the championship standings.

Marcelli has been one of the most consistent riders throughout the 2026 season, regularly challenging at the front and continuing to close the gap to his teammate.

Busto Completes the Podium

Jaime Busto rounded out the podium in third, adding another solid result to his season as he continues to battle among the top riders in the championship.

Further down the order, Harry Hemingway impressed with a fourth place finish, while Matteo Grattarola completed the top five.

A Dominant Season Comes to an End

The Tarragona finale brought the curtain down on another remarkable season for Toni Bou, who once again proved untouchable across the indoor calendar.

Behind him, the battle for the remaining podium positions in the championship provided plenty of excitement, with Marcelli and Busto leading the charge among the next generation of riders.

With young talents continuing to emerge and challenge the established order, the future of X-Trial looks competitive, even if Bou remains the rider to beat.

Looking Ahead

As the indoor season concludes, attention now turns to the outdoor TrialGP World Championship, where many of the same riders will continue their battles across natural terrain.

If the 2026 X-Trial season is anything to go by, fans can expect more high-level competition and continued rivalries throughout the year.
