TrialGP Great Britain Day One Results: Bou Wins, Harry Turner Thrills Home Crowd
The spectacular coastline of Anglesey provided the backdrop for a thrilling opening day of the 2026 TrialGP of Great Britain, with reigning world champion Toni Bou extending his lead in the premier TrialGP class while Britain’s Harry Turner delivered a sensational home victory in Trial2.
With slippery coastal rocks, steep cambers, stream sections and technical man-made hazards testing the world’s best riders, Day One produced exactly the kind of world-class action expected from a British round of the FIM Trial World Championship.
Bou takes another crucial TrialGP victory
Repsol Honda HRC’s Toni Bou once again showed why he remains the benchmark in motorcycle trials. The Spaniard recovered from a difficult opening race, where several costly maximums left him under pressure from title rival Jaime Busto, to produce a superb second-race performance.
Bou dropped just 12 marks across the second race and secured the overall victory with the maximum 40 championship points, further strengthening his grip on the 2026 TrialGP title fight.

Busto pushed Bou hard throughout the day and remained his closest challenger, but the Spaniard’s consistency ultimately proved decisive.
Harry Hemingway continues impressive rookie campaign
British fans had plenty to cheer in the premier class thanks to Harry Hemingway. The Beta Factory rider secured an excellent fourth overall against arguably the strongest field in world trials, continuing his outstanding rookie season in TrialGP.
Competing on home soil brought additional pressure, but Hemingway looked composed throughout both races and once again demonstrated the talent that has made him one of Britain’s brightest prospects.
Jack Peace secures valuable world championship points
Jack Peace added another strong result to his growing TrialGP campaign with seventh overall aboard his Sherco. The former Scottish Six Days Trial winner showed impressive pace on the technical Anglesey sections and collected valuable championship points despite a handful of costly mistakes.
Harry Turner steals the show in Trial2
While Bou claimed the headlines in TrialGP, the performance of the day arguably belonged to Harry Turner in Trial2.
The Sherco rider produced a near-flawless opening race, dropping just three marks across all 12 sections. It was one of the cleanest rides seen in the category this season and immediately put him in control of the overall classification.
Race Two proved significantly tougher, with scores rising dramatically across the field, but Turner’s advantage from the opening lap was enough to secure the overall victory and the maximum 35 championship points.

Another British rider, Jack Dance, also impressed with fifth overall, while Billy Green and Alfie Lampkin added further British representation inside the top ten.
Andrea Sofia Rabino dominates TrialGP Women
The TrialGP Women category was dominated by Andrea Sofia Rabino. The Italian Beta rider won both races to score the maximum 40 championship points and strengthen her position at the top of the world championship standings.

Rabino’s opening race was particularly impressive, with just four marks lost across the entire lap before backing it up with another controlled performance in Race Two.
Alice Minta claims home podium
Britain’s Alice Minta delivered a superb performance to finish third overall in TrialGP Women. Riding in front of a passionate home crowd, the Beta rider showed excellent composure throughout both races and secured a well-deserved podium finish.
Fellow Britons Kaytlyn Adshead, Alicia Robinson, Nikita Smith and Sophie Bailey also collected valuable world championship points, underlining the growing depth of British talent in women’s trials.
What Day One Means for the Championships
Day One at Anglesey could prove to be a pivotal moment in all three championship battles.
Toni Bou once again demonstrated that beating him across an entire weekend remains one of the toughest challenges in motorcycle sport, while Harry Turner’s dominant Trial2 victory has firmly established him as a genuine world title contender.
In the women’s championship, Andrea Sofia Rabino continues to set the standard, but Alice Minta’s podium finish provides another major boost for British trials on the world stage.
With a second full day of competition still to come on the Welsh island, Sunday’s action promises even more drama as championship rivals look to respond before the series moves on to its next stop on the 2026 FIM Trial World Championship calendar.
